All the ins and outs of our MDC Dance Festival, right here in one spot!

Have questions or need help, email [email protected]

Arrival and Check-in

Performing dancers should plan to arrive 20 minutes before their show start time. Performing dancers will be lead in a warm-up by senior dancers and will get organized and placed for the show. The MDC Recital Team is working very hard to make sure dancers can see all of the dances.

All dancers and families will need to check-in at the event table. Families can pick up their show bracelets at rehearsal however they will still need to check in! Check-in opens 30 minutes before show start time. Please be patient and courteous between shows as team members are cleaning and resetting for the next show.

During the show

There are small "breaks" during the each show to allow for dancers to change and get reset for dances. Please be patient during this time and courteous of others around you.

Parents are welcome to take photo and video of your dancer. Please stand to the side or to the back so you do not impair another guest from enjoying the performance. MDC has contracted Artistry Reimagined to photograph the recital and red carpet walks.

While we are at an outside venue and this performance has more of festival feel to it, we do ask that standard performance rules be adhered to. Please no talking or disruptions while dancers are on stage. If you need to get up to move or leave the tented area please do so in between dances.

Each dancer will walk down the red carpet after their dance. Please give all our dancers lots of love and support!

Seating and Tents

MDC has rented a tent to cover the stage and an additional 40 ft of seating. We will have 200 chairs on site for dancers and guests. Families are encouraged to bring their own chairs as well.

Families can set up their own canopy tents outside of the main tent area. Again, please be respectful and courteous of all families and dancers.

MDC has a changing tent for dancers who need to do a complete costume change. Only team members may enter this tent, dancers are not permitted to hang-out in the changing room tent. Men may not enter the tent for any reason. Male dancers that need to change will have a separate tent and team member to assist.

Parking spaces next to the festival area will be blocked off, there will be an area for cars to drop off as needed. Parking spaces are limited, please carpool if possible.
